Educational Disclaimer

BioSignal exists to help you understand the evidence — what is known, what is not, and how confident anyone should be. Reading it well means understanding what it is, and what it is not.

Educational, by design

Every BioSignal publication is an educational synthesis of published scientific evidence. Its purpose is to explain the current state of the science clearly and honestly — not to sell a product, promote a protocol, or persuade you toward a conclusion. Where the evidence is strong, BioSignal says so; where it is weak, absent, or conflicting, it says that just as plainly.

Records are living documents

Science changes, and so do BioSignal records. A conclusion reflects the best available evidence at the time of its last review, and it can shift as new research arrives. Each record carries a version and a last-reviewed date so you can see how current it is. The Version History explains how updates are logged.

Confidence is not effectiveness

This distinction is essential. Confidence describes how strong and consistent the evidence is. Effectiveness describes how large a benefit is when it exists. A high confidence rating means the evidence is trustworthy — it is never a promise of a large result, and never a recommendation to use an intervention. The Confidence Levels and Methodology pages explain how BioSignal reasons.

Reading BioSignal well

  • Not personalized. Records describe evidence across populations, not advice for your specific situation. For that, see the Medical Disclaimer and speak with a clinician.
  • Not exhaustive. A record summarizes the most relevant evidence; it is not the complete scientific literature on a topic.
  • Evidence types matter. BioSignal distinguishes human trials from mechanistic and preclinical work, and never presents association as proof of causation.
  • Verifiable. Records cite real, checkable references so you can follow the evidence to its source.

How this fits together

Use BioSignal to become better informed, to ask sharper questions, and to understand the evidence behind a health decision — then make that decision with a qualified professional. Use of the site is subject to our Terms of Use, and BioSignal is educational information, not medical advice.
